The Link app has two functions. its primary role is the Profile selection function. Allowing the user easy navigation through the 37core roast profiles that comes with the link roaster. This works as a guide to selecting the right profile for any coffee through simple data inputs. These inputs are the coffees density (volume by weight), the coffee process and the coffee variety . When these inputs get put into the apps algorithm it can dictate an appropriate recommended starting profile that the coffee sample should be roasted on. The second function on the app will be a guide point to adjusting the fan trim function so that the coffee oscillation (movements) is correct. This feature will mainly be utilised when travelling, roasting at high-altitude. And currently is still a work in progress
